Roo Ninja

Not your typical BS "fluff review" site. Honest and truly HELPFUL reviews.

Hi. Glad you're checking me out.

First of all, my name is Roo Ninja (and it's not my real name). But there's a reason for that. You see, I write for a number of websites. But this one is mine.

And the anonymity gives me some freedom to speak, too. So I do this because I feel you're better off as a reader for it. (If you poke around the site you'll see why...)

Roo Ninja - the real deal

But I'm a real guy and I hope as you get to know me and the site here, you'll come to realize that I'm the "real deal." If the anonymity puts you off, I'm sorry. Hopefully, you can see the advantage for you as a reader here.

You see, I want to have the freedom to talk about all kinds of crap that I might not otherwise feel as free to discuss if people who knew me knew I was doing this.

I don't care anymore so much what people think who don't like me. I'm too grown up for that.

But I also don't want to be a stumbling block for people who may see something here that they find a little "off-putting" and that gets in the way of how I might be able to help them in real life.

Because sometimes, loving people means telling them things they don't like. And you want to make sure they know you love them when you're telling them things that might cause them pain.

I started this site because I thought it might be an interesting way to help people. I want the freedom to talk about things in life I've found that might be of benefit too others.

It's also a place where I can cry "bullshit" when I see it, and when I think that kind of thing needs to be said for people to be better off. (And that's even for those who are bothered by my using the word "bullshit.")

I'm proud of my country.

I'm just not always proud of its leadership.

I think freedom is a precious gift that we are perilously close to losing right now if we don't smarten up and see that many of the people we've voted into office do not really have our best interests in mind when they make the decisions they do.

And so I always try to pray for those leaders, whether I like them or not. It's the right thing to do. I believe God sometimes chooses not to move until we invite him into our situations.

So make peace with God, as you know him. And if you're smart, you'll ask Him to show you who he REALLY is and not just who you want him to be.

I'm married, with kids and grandkids now.

And I've been married before. I know the pain of loss, of rejection. But having been through the pain of the experiences of my past, I would have to say that I can see the pain has put me on my knees and made me a better person because of it.

I have a wonderful wife that God has blessed to put in my life. And the older I get, the more I realize that after 50, in many ways we are all the same age.

I hope the stuff I talk about is helpful. I always look for feedback from the readers.

Sometimes I recommend stuff.

And there are a LOT of websites that do that. I just don't like the way a lot of them do it. So I'm going to try to not be that guy.

If I recommend something, it's because I believe in it. I've recommended stuff before. And I will tell you upfront, rather than pretending that it ain't happening. SOME of the stuff I recommend in here does pay me a small "finder's fee," if you will, when you end up trying something because I recommend it and you try it because I said so.

I also recommend stuff for which I don't get affiliate fees. But I figure I'd rather you get the real story rather than me just trying to "sell you" something.

So, read my recommendations with a jaded eye.

I always do. In fact, part of the reason I started this site is because of all the bogus reviews and review sites out there. Drives me NUTS. But we will get to that eventually.

For now, please know that I'm going to try to be as brutally honest about stuff here as I can. Because I want you to know that you can trust me.

If you're wondering why that's important, check out the "about you" page. I don't always see those on websites. But I think it's important for my audience to know how I see them.
